Autism Assessments
for Adults (18+)

A new offering in the perinatal space..

Welcome! I'm Sarah, an Autistic ADHD perinatal psychologist providing adult (18+) autism assessments.
I aim to bring a unique, neurodiversity affirming and trauma aware perspective to my work.
Are you wanting to explore Autism (and screen for ADHD), but unsure how much is related to pregnancy and/or postpartum, and how much could be neurodivergence? You've come to the right place. I also provide assessments to adults who are not parents (yet!) but hoping or planning this for the future.

My mission is to support and empower parents through understanding and acceptance, creating a safe space for you to explore your neurotype, so that you can grow into yourself as you grow into parenthood.

TLDR;

Option 1: I've done my research and I think I'm Autistic - but I don't want or can't afford a full assessment.

1x60 min appointment to explore your self-identification.

Telehealth only on Fridays, AWST.

$300

Booked only via email

Not a formal diagnosis. No written documentation from me. Not suitable for NDIS or DSP.

Option 2: I've done my research and I think I'm Autistic - let's do an assessment.

Intake Form

Questionnaires

1x 3hr Assessment (with breaks as needed)

Telehealth or Perth SOR on Fridays weekly and Saturdays once a month AWST

ADHD screening (not diagnosis)

30 min feedback meeting, provided a brief letter with diagnostic summary only

$1500 (50% deposit required within 7 days of booking; surcharge for Saturday appointments)

Option 3: Option 2 + Comprehensive Report

Same process as option 2, except you will receive a comprehensive report rather than a summary letter

Limitation: unlikely to support NDIS or DSP application without assessment from additional clinicians.

Charged in prorata hourly blocks - $300 per hour. Approximate quote to be provided after intake forms are completed.

What is included in an Adult Autism (+ADHD screening) Assessment?

First, you will check out my website and socials to see if you think I'm the right fit for you, then book your assessment online. I do not operate a waitlist (that's too demanding on my own executive functioning). You can choose whether to book a full Autism Assessment, or whether you want to book a stand-a-lone consultation to explore whether you want to self-identify; self-identification is welcome and celebrated here.

Before the assessment, I will send you a fairly long intake form so that I can gather your history and current concerns, and a series of standardised questionnaires. You will send me copies of particular documents such as school reports or previous medical/allied health reports (if you don't have them, don't worry).

The assessment is a 3 hour interview conducted via telehealth, or face-to-face in Perth SOR for an additional travel fee (to be agreed upon on an individual basis).

This option includes a brief 3(ish) page report with a diagnostic summary - this includes the tests used and results. This letter is not suitable for NDIS or DSP application/s.

This costs $1500; a 50% deposit of $750 is required within a week of booking. The remaining 50% or $750

is due upon report completion and prior to our feedback appointment 2-6 weeks later, depending on availability. Reports will not be released without full payment.

Alternatively, you can request a comprehensive report in addition to the assessment; these fees are charged at my hourly $300 rate and a comprehensive report typically takes 4-8 hours. I can provide a rough estimate after reading your intake form, and a more comprehensive quote after our assessment session if you are interested in this option. This will be available 4-8 weeks after our assessment and available to you at the 30 min feedback appointment, once you have completed payment.

A comprehensive report can only be completed within 3 months of our intake interview and cannot be requested after this date (if you change your mind).

*Website current as of September 2024 and subject to change.
